Position: Second Engineer (2/E)
Vessel Type: Bulk Carrier
Contract Type: 4+-1 asap
Requirements:
Valid STCW III/2 Second Engineer CoC
Previous experience as 2/E on Bulk Carriers (minimum 2–3 contracts)
Good knowledge of main engine operations (e.g., MAN B&W / Sulzer)
Experience with planned maintenance systems (PMS)
Valid certificates:
Medical Certificate
Basic & Advanced Safety Training
High Voltage (if required)
MARPOL, ECDIS, and all mandatory documents
English proficiency (Marlins/Test acceptable)
No visa restrictions for the vessel’s trading area
Responsibilities:
Assist the Chief Engineer in all engine-room operations
Oversee daily maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery
Ensure safe and efficient running of main engine, auxiliaries, boilers, purifiers, and electrical equipment
Supervise engine room crew
Maintain logs, records, PMS, and compliance with ISM & safety procedures
Conduct safety training and emergency drills
