- A reputable German shipowner is urgently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for their container vessel fleet.
Requirements:
Proven experience with MAN B&W two-stroke engines
Minimum 12 months of experience in rank as Chief Engineer
Solid background in technical management and vessel operations
Strong knowledge of planned maintenance systems and safety standards
Contract Conditions:
Monthly Salary: USD 9,200
Seniority Bonus (based on continuous service in rank):
2 years – USD 100/month
3 years – USD 300/month
4+ years – USD 500/month
Performance Bonus: up to USD 750/month
Final amount to be determined based on end-of-contract evaluation
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and maintaining the technical condition of the vessel
Organizing supply and logistics
Ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules
Coordination with contractors and suppliers
Budget control and technical reporting
Adherence to safety and quality standards
Direct communication with Technical Superintendent (TSI) on all technical matters
