We are seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer with hands-on experience operating four-stroke marine engines. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficient operation of the vessel’s propulsion and auxiliary systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the vessel’s Daihatsu four-stroke engine (≤3,000 kW).
Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations.
Maintain accurate technical logs and reports.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a 2nd Engineer with four-stroke marine engines, preferably Daihatsu.
Familiarity with engines under 3,000 kW.
Relevant marine engineering certification and STCW compliance.
Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical skills.
Ability to work in a team and adapt to vessel operations.
